Boothbay Region Elementary School put on its 15th annual holiday concert for parents, teachers and friends Dec. 20. Toby LeConte’s class opened the concert with a rendition of “The Mean Man and the Hero.” Third and fourth grade followed with “Hanukkah Shalom.” Then third grade gave a class cheer in the form of a series of holiday-themed jokes. Fourth grade sang “When Christmas Comes to Town” and kindergarten sang “Jingle Bells” and “Santa Shark.” First grade rounded out the concert with “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Reindeer Hokey Pokey” before Vincent Giles ended the concert with a moving medley of Christmas tunes on the piano.
