BRAF presents artist Elizabeth Palmer at The First
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) is featuring artist Elizabeth Palmer, in an art show, at The First Bank in Boothbay Harbor from April 2 to May 30.
Palmer is a New Hampshire and Maine artist specializing in still life and landscape watercolors. Recently Palmer began painting birds (which are featured at Gifts at 136 in Damariscotta) and flowers. She uses vivid colors, intricate detail, and play of light against dark, in her attempt to make even the most ordinary subject appear extraordinary.
Palmer has been in many shows, winning awards and having her paintings selected for print in several New England calendars.
Her work is in private collections throughout the country, as well as in the permanent collection at the Boston Children's Hospital.
Palmer's most recent award was an Honorable Mention in the “Best in Maine 2013,” juried show at the Art Foundation.
The First bank is located at 77 Oak Street. For information about hours, call 207-633-5149.
