The defending state champion Boothbay Region Seahawks held off the visiting Hall-Dale Bulldogs and went on to win their season-opening game, 45-33, at Porter Memorial Gymnasium, BRHS on Friday, Dec. 6.

Junior center Glory Blethen led the Seahawks with 24 points. Jaelyn Crocker added seven points and Josey Smith had six.

Iris Ireland led the Bulldogs with 12 points.
