Garry Blackman Sr. of Boothbay and his granddaughter Nataleigh Blackman won several awards at the Downeast Country Music Association Awards ceremony recently.

Nataleigh won 2019 Female Vocalist; 2019 Most Promising Duet (with Garry); 2019 Duet of the Year, and Most Appropriately Dressed Duet (with Garry).

Garry and his band, Old and Cranky, won Best Band 2019, Most Appropriately Dressed Band.

Old and Cranky is comprised of Garry Blackman Sr., Frank Breton, Paul Martin and Bobby Blackman. Old and Cranky backed Nataleigh during her performances.

The competition was held in June and awards were presented on Aug. 25.
