Dear Editor:

The Boothbay region is not dead. It is a vibrant community year-round.

Many of us moved here because we liked the beautiful surroundings and its friendly, compassionate people. We didn't think any changes were needed to enhance the experience of living in this region.

Many of our local folks and people from away are volunteering their time and energy to preserve what we already enjoy. We are definitely alive.
