Boothbay PB approves 4 applications
The Boothbay Planning Board approved five of six applications May 19 in a meeting which ran over three hours. All applications involved properties in a coastal residential and shoreland overlay zone. The only application not approved was tabled. The board scheduled a May 25 site visit for Martha L. Simpson’s application to add two different additions to a non-conforming structure. The board wants to review whether a deck is attached to a garage or is detached from the structure prior to rendering a decision. The board will convene at 4 p.m. on Simpson’s property on Shore Road in East Boothbay.
One of the five approved applications was done on a conditional basis. The board vote unanimously to require Randall and Mary Hack to provide a survey approved by Code Enforcement Officer Jason Lorrain prior to approval. The Hacks are seeking approval of a subdivision property line change for their parcel at 30 Flint Lane.
The other approvals included Robert A. and Ellen M. Donavan’s request to rebuild a 50-foot by 6-foot pier, 34-foot by 3-foot runway along with a 10-foot by 20-foot float.
Kurt and Karen Kruger received approval to rebuild a dock consisting of a 10-foot by 20-foot float. The project will also replace a 10-foot by 10-foot rock/timber/cement crib with granite blocks at an East Tibbetts Road, East Boothbay property.
Raymond Manocchio received approval to modify a dock by adding a 5-foot by 12-foot seasonal float and 5-foot by 12-foot seasonal float along with a 5-foot by 31-foot seasonal float to a dock. The property is on Linden Lane in Trevett.
The final application was for Trustees of the Ledges and Latta Family Trust. Catherine Latta represented the applicants who received approval to rebuild a recreational pier and runway, along with the float system. The property is on Old Wharf Road in Trevett.
The board meets next at 6:30 p.m. June 16.
