Why do so many mystery authors write in a series? Most often either the author or their audience becomes enthralled with the protagonist. Each story ends with you wanting more from this character. Questions asked at a book club might be: Were you satisfied with the ending, if not what would you change? What do you think will happen to the character next? Does the author plan a sequel? Would the story make a good film?
