Boothbay handles Mt. Abram

The Boothbay Region Seahawks got back on the winning track with a 39-12 win over the Mt. Abram Roadrunners Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Porter Memorial Gymnasium.

The Seahawks held the visitors to just one free throw in the middle two quarters to improve to 2-1 on the young season. Mt. Abram fell to 1-2.

Senior guard Chloe Arsenault led Boothbay’s balanced scoring attack with eight points, followed by junior center Glory Blethen with seven. Junior forward Kylie Brown and freshman forward Kathryn Hibbard each scored six.

Camryn Wahl led the Roadrunners with five points.

The Seahawks are scheduled to travel to North Anson Friday night, Dec. 13 to face the Carrabec Cobras. The Cobras are 2-1 with wins over Madison and Spruce Mountain and a two-point loss to Monmouth.
