Boothbay falls to Winthrop in South final

The top-seeded Winthrop Ramblers defeated the second-seeded Boothbay Region Seahawks, 38-34, in the 2020 Class C South final on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Boothbay battled back from a second-half deficit of eight points to narrow the Ramblers’ lead to two points but the Seahawks couldn’t get the basket they needed to tie the game in the final minute. Two Rambler free throws provided the final score.
