Boothbay beats Madison, improves to 7-1

A second-half scoring surge by Boothbay Region Seahawks broke open a close game and Boothbay went on to defeat the Madison Bulldogs 59-43 at Madison Friday night, Jan. 3.

The win improved the Seahawks’ record to 7-1 as they still sit on top of the Class C South division. Madison dropped to 2-6 with the loss.

Boothbay got balanced scoring with Hunter Crocker leading the team with 17 points, followed by Sullivan Rice with 14, Ben Pearce with 13 and Kaleb Ames with 11.

The Seahawks’ next scheduled game is at home on Tuesday, Jan. 7 against Hall-Dale. As of Friday night, the Bulldogs were 5-2 and in fifth place in Class C South.
