Bird seed sale: Mid-Coast Audubon’s fundraiser begins
It's time for the winter bird seed sale held by your local Audubon Chapter, Mid-Coast Audubon.
Proceeds help the chapter with its nesting box program and help provide the many free educational programs we host throughout the year.
Choose from these tasty varieties of seed to keep your birds happy: Sunflower meaties (hulled) $23 for 25 pounds, $43 for 50 pounds; Black oil sunflower seed $15 for 20 pounds, $29 for 40 pounds; Melody Mix $14 for 20 pounds, $23 for 40 pounds, Thistle (Nyger) $10 per 5 pounds and suet, $2 each.
Orders should be placed by January 27; send a check made out to Mid-Coast Audubon to “Seedsale Sue,” 117 Texas Road, South Bristol, ME 04568. Pickup will be at Plants Unlimited, Route 1 in Rockport on Saturday, Feb. 1, 9 a.m. to noon.
