BHRCC Awards Night celebrates community
Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce (BBHCC) celebrated community excellence during its annual awards ceremony Oct. 1 at Bigelow Laboratory's new Harold Alfond Center for Ocean Education and Innovation.
Guests enjoyed grazing spreads provided by Mine Oyster Catering, underscored by live saxophone music and humming conversation. A large screen projected images from Chamber-sponsored events, including Early Bird, Fishin' for Fashion, the recent Trolley fundraiser and more.
The night's nominees were from community submissions. Chamber members chose the winners.
“I think it's just a way of showing appreciation for all the things that our community does,” said Lisa Walby, BBHCC executive director.
