Best Christmas wishes
Scattered about the east yet connected daily by phone and email, your commodores and staff extend to all of the membership, their friends and relatives their best wishes for a very merry and satisfying Christmas.
It won't be long before renovations and changes to the McKown house and the main clubhouse will permit us to share holiday cheer and friendship on a more regular basis That said, the Christmas party at PC Marianne Reynolds’ home was a hugely successful event, which was shared by over 50 members, friends and prospective members.
Two couples traveled from Florida and Texas to join in the revelry. Thanks Al Sharon, Susan and Dan for making the long trek back to your “home in Maine.”
The Boothbay Region Food Pantry also benefited from the event as many contributions of money and food were brought to the party. It is not too late to contribute either food or cash by taking same to the Congregational Church. This time of year is the most demanding on items for distribution to those in need.
We are not through yet as the January party is scheduled for the home of new members Mike and Abby Smith. We will publish more details as the date comes closer.
In closing for this week, your columnist would like to extend holiday greetings to all and special thanks to Jim Matel and Donna Brewer for their very special help throughout the year
