Red’s Eats, the iconic roadside take-out stand at 41 Water Street in Wiscasset, has earned one more in its long list of accolades. Known far and wide for its famously huge, fresh Maine lobster roll, on the PreWos.com website’s list of “The Most Iconic Restaurant in Every Single U.S. State,” Red’s Eats was named as Maine’s.
The website states: “Maine has tons of lobster joints, but none quite like Red’s, a little shack that has stood on Route 1 in Wiscasset since 1954. Come for the lobster roll, and plenty of character.”
