It is hard to believe we are at the mid-point of the summer.  We have been blessed with wonderful days to be out on the water and bailing skills are becoming quite rusty.

Those of you who have been part of a spectator fleet for the sailors and racers are encouraged to be part of Dave Smith’s project to set up a "photo bucket" for sharing SYC 2012 pictures.  This photobucket is there for you to upload any SYC pictures that you would like to share with other SYC members and for you to download any pictures for free that you would like.  The link to the photobucket and the password can be found on the Photo Gallery page of the SYC website.  If the 2012 photobucket does not appear, hit the refresh button to reload the page and you will see it.Dave has already posted more than 500 awesome, beautiful pictures from the 2 turnabout races and the Tumbler to Ebenecook open race.  If you sailed in any of those races it is highly likely that there is at least one picture of you that has been posted (and probably more). 

The "dock committee" would like to remind members who have a dinghy tied up to the float that they really need to have the member’s name clearly displayed on the boat.  Any boat found without a name will be removed.  The guidelines for the use of the dock are clearly posted and it is a good idea to review them not only for your selves but also for your visitors and children who may be using the boats.

This is the weekend of the 44th+/- year of the Seguin Island Trophy Race.  Registration forms, times, schedule of events and other information is available at www.southportyachtclub.org/Seguin-Island-Race.  Volunteers are needed in all areas and no time is too late.  If you can give some time, would like to crew or have any questions, contact Jen Baker at jenpbaker81@gmail.com.

The second lobster feast will be held on August 4 and the signup sheets as well as on line sign up will be available next week.
