148-year-old Register preserved under glass

Rhode Island resident Scott Cohoon recently shared the attached photographs of the four-page Feb. 17, 1877 issue of the Boothbay Register which his father purchased at an estate sale "a number of years ago" and it was placed in a frame. "He always admired it," said Cohoon.
Cohoon said it hung on a wall in parents home for several years and is now in his home. The framed newspaper, Volumn 1, No. 9, is placed between two pieces of glass.
"We summered in the Harbor for more than 40 years and remain connected through your terrific paper. Keep up the great work!"
