The Lincoln Home welcomes Nurse Manager Bobbi Jo McFarland, RN to our family of caregivers. Bobbi Jo brings her many skills and caring and compassionate nature to her new leadership position at Harbor View Cottage, our Memory Loss Care home. Growing up in Boothbay, she graduated from Boothbay Region High School and after leaving the area for a few years, returned in 2003 to begin her nursing career. She received her CNA certificate in 2003. From there, she received her Certified Medication Technician certificate , then went on to graduate from nursing school at University of Maine in Augusta, while working full time. Currently she is set to graduate with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in May and is enrolled for her Master's degree with a concentration in Executive Nurse Leadership. A Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), she has experience in Hospice and Palliative Care, Chronic Disease Care Management as well as Advanced Care Planning.
Bobbi Jo is passionate about being a nurse and the opportunity to offer patient/resident centered care. In her role at Harbor View Cottage, she is an advocate for residents, ensuring quality of care, quality of life and meeting each resident where they are at. Bobbi Jo works with families to educate and help them come to the best decision for their loved ones. Her positive demeanor supports, mentors and empowers staff to promote collaboration and teamwork. She lives with her 12 year old son in Bowdoinham.
