Raccoons and Ripe Corn by Jim Arnosky gave the children at this week’s story hour an inside view of cornfields at night and what

a group of hungry raccoons are usually up to.  In the crisp Autumn air, leaves fall and sail over the farmer’s cornfield that hold the

raccoon family’s dinner.

After our story, we made door decorations for fall with fingerpaint for corn cobs and yellow tissue paper for corn husks.

Story hour is at the Wiscasset Public Library children’s room every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  The library is located at 21 High Street, Wiscasset. For more information call 882-7161. All good listeners are welcome to enjoy a few stories and an activity to follow.
