A Walk in the Park

Summer has passed and the quietness of fall has arrived.
Taking a walk around Barrett Park in Boothbay Harbor in the late afternoon of Oct. 1 provided me with a chance to enjoy the beauty of the park without interruption of summer swimmers, loungers, boaters and picnickers.
Four people did enter the park during the hour I was there, but they were there for a peaceful walk as well. There were some remnants of summer, but the evidence of fall colors and bareness is revealed.
As the phrase goes, “Stop and smell the roses.” It’s a beautiful world out there. Especially in the Boothbay Harbor region.
Enjoy.
