Students from grades five through 12 played holiday music and other tunes under new bands director Jeff Waldrop on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Boothbay Harbor Opera House. The fifth graders kicked off the concert with “Good King Wenceslas,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas” and “Jingle Bells.” The sixth grade band followed with “Up on the Housetop,” “African Noel” and “Theme from Symphony No. 1.” The Middle School Band played a rehearsal favorite, “Smoke on the Water,” before the High School Band came to the stage to play “7 Nation Army,” “Kashmir,” “Festive Fanfare” and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”
