Wed, 10/12/2016 - 8:45am

This year the talented crafters of St. Patrick’s Shamrocks have been busy designing and creating some unique and fanciful items that can be used to decorate your home for the Christmas season. Utilizing the abundant harvest of natural materials available, items for sale this year will include twelve-inch tabletop trees with themes (kitchen, coffee lovers, knitters and seashore). Adult bibs for use in the car or at the table are a new and useful addition this year as well as quilted casserole totes. Christmas ornaments will include folded fabric balls, lace angels, crocheted angels, painted ornaments and fragrant cinnamon bells and stars. Gifts for teachers have not been overlooked. We will be offering candy kiss-filled whisks and friendship bags. Knitted hats, mittens and hats for infants will also be available as well as an assortment of knitted items by our talented knitter, Carole!

St. Patrick is the oldest Catholic Church in New England and members of the Historical Committee of St. Patrick Church will be on hand to discuss the history of the oldest surviving Catholic Church in New England and its significance to this area. Ornaments based on Old St. Patrick Church will be available for purchase.

The Religious Table will offer a large assortment of religious items. This is an opportunity to plan for First Communion and Confirmation gifts. Also available will be a selection of items to inspire your devotion.

As always, there is no fee to attend and all adult guests will receive a free raffle ticket for our special Thanksgiving Raffle Basket. Please stop by Cheverus Hall, which is located at St. Patrick Church, 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle on Saturday, Nov. 19during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
