Christmas is not only a season of good cheer, but also a season of dark nights. During this time of carols and parties, many feel alone in their ache of loss and grief.

The Rev. Maria Hoecker and The Rev. Betty Spear will gather together with others in a sharing of remembrance of the loves and losses of life at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor.

Those attending are encouraged to bring photos of loved ones who are missed in this season.

All are invited to join a circle of kindred spirits for sharing in the love which acknowledges heartbreak and deepens the hope of life.
