Southport Central School's sixth grade class will hold its Winter Carnival at the Southport Town Hall on Saturday, March 7 beginning at 5 p.m.

The event will feature soups, chowders, salad, a Chinese auction, raffles, games and prizes. The soup and chowder supper will begin at 5 followed by the raffle and auction at 6:30. Raffle items will include gift certificates to Pinkham’s Seafood, Boothbay Region Greenhouses, Coastal Maine Popcorn and the House of Pizza. Other raffle items will include books from Sherman’s Bookstore, photos of dogs from Two Salty Dogs, an emergency flashlight from Grover’s Hardware, a lobster claw bracelet from A Silver Lining and many more. There will be face painting and a photo-op with Elsa and Anna from the movie "Frozen."

Come and enjoy an evening of good food, entertainment and our spectacular auction. All proceeds go to the sixth grade class for their spring trip to Adventure Bound this May. Adventure Bound is an outdoor family adventure facility in Caratunk on the Kennebec River. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy rafting, rock climbing and camping with their classmates.
