Rosa May Gladu

Rosa May Gladu “Frosti”, born Dec. 10, 1940 in Yarmouth, Maine, died Sept. 8, 2016 in the home she shared with her husband of 54 years, Joseph Raymond Gladu.

Frosti dedicated her life to living for the Lord, loving her husband and her very large family.

Not only is she survived by her husband, Joseph Gladu, but also by her son, Michael Gladu of Chestertown, daughter Bethany Jordan and her husband Larry of Queenstown, granddaughter Nichole Lynn Gladu, grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Christopher and Samantha Gladu, granddaughters, Lindzee Gladu, Krystal Harrison, and Dakota Jordan, grandsons Walter Harrison and Jake Riley.

Frosti also enjoyed spending time with her eleven great grandchildren; Dregor, Daniel, Christian, Cullen, Tyriq, Jaden, Madison, Tripp, Rylie, Kalie, and Khloe, and her niece, Denise Landry Tizon.

Frosti was the eldest of five daughters, born to a Maine fisherman and boat builder and a stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed reminiscing being on her father’s boats off the coast of Maine when she was younger. She is survived by three sisters, Barbara Granholm of Freeport, Maine, Celia Gregor of Jackson, Mississippi and Julia Fitch of Cumberland, Maine. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Landry of Yarmouth, Maine.
