During the second week in April at Boothbay Region Adult Ed, you can learn the basics about using Microsoft Word, how to be safe while boating, and explore techniques for taking great photos.

Eventide's Quiche and Fritatta class on April 4 is full, however, Kim is doing a second session on Wednesday, April 5. We have a few spaces available for that session. Call 633-3224 for registration information by Monday, April 3.

Please note the CPR/First Aid course originally scheduled for April 4 and 6 has been postponed, and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Taking Great Digital Photos

If you are comfortable using settings and functions on your digital camera and and want to learn more on April 10 and 12 this is the class for you! Join Leisha to explore contrast, lighting,and shapes. You will experiment with what you've learned by taking photos indoors and outdoors, and Leisha will provide feedback and tips. Bring your camera with fresh batteries to class. The time is 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $30.

Suddenly in Command

This is a four hour boating safety class for anyone who has not had a lot of boating experience or others who want to learn safety. Be prepared! Learn basic emergency procedures, how to get help, the safety equipment required by the Coast Guard, regulations, accident assessment, and more. The class is on Tuesday and Thursday, April 11 and 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., and the cost is $40.

Essential Microsoft Word

Learn the basics you need to know about using Word 2010, the widely used word processing program for creating office or personal letters and documents. A hands-on class create, save a document, set margins, tabs, page layout, and more. Explore a variety of functions and tools. Basic computer and keyboard skills required. This three session class meets on Arpil 11, 12 and 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the fee is $36.
