Over 40 years of selling cheese

Boothbay Region Historical Society selling Grafton cheese at Fall Foliage Festival
Tue, 09/27/2016 - 7:45am

The Boothbay Region Historical Society’s annual cheese sale is going back to its original venue, the Fall Foliage Festival, after a six-year stint at the Society’s museum on Oak Street. During those years, it was augmented by a bake sale, but this year it is all about the cheese: delicious, handmade and classically aged cheddar from the masters of 124-year-old Grafton Village Cheese Company in Vermont.

Purchase any amount of this freshly-cut holiday favorite for $13 a pound at the Historical Society’s booth during the Fall Foliage Festival at Boothbay’s Railway Village Town Hall building on Saturday, Oct. 8, starting at 9 a.m. and continuing until the last piece is sold. Profits from this sale enable the Society to fulfill its mission of preserving the fascinating history of our peninsula, islands, and nearby communities.

If you have pre-ordered your cheddar cheese, you must pick it up at the museum (72 Oak Street, Boothbay Harbor) -- not at Railway Village -- on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
