Lots going on in October at Cape Newagen Alpacas, 1020 Hendricks Hill Road, Southport. The studio will be open for Stitch and Sip Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. for the month of October. Bring your hand work or just come for tea.

On Saturday, Oct. 23, from noon to 4 p.m., we will be hosting a peg loom class with Thistle Dew Alpaca Farm. Peg looms are hand crafted by Judy and Jerry Mullins of Phippsburg and home to Thistle Dew Alpacas. Registration required. Limit to six participants. Call Anne 207-633-0416 for details and to sign up. All participants will leave workshop with a small handcrafted rug yarn project made from our alpacas.

Cooler weather is here and a new shipment of our Altera Alpaca socks just arrived -- perfect for any outdoor activity or cozy up inside. For those heading south to warmer weather, we also carry ankle socks for tennis and golf.

Lastly, our mill spun yarn will be in the shop the first week of October. Get out those needles and come see us for your favorite alpaca’s yarn.
