Dear Editor:

I recently celebrated my 90th birthday with a pizza party at the House of Pizza in Boothbay Harbor.

I want to thank all the many friends who stopped by to wish me a happy birthday. It was great to see you and to catch up on the news. Thanks to my niece, Anne Carro, and her crew who set up and decorated the table. Kudos to Hannaford who did such a beautiful job of decorating the cake, and to Joan Rittall who served it. Special thanks to my son, Ed, and his wife, Carol, who made endless trips bringing stuff in and out.

You just can’t beat those pizzas, and Mark kept them coming, so there were always plenty for everyone to eat.

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate an occasion than a pizza party at the House of Pizza, and, God willing, I’ll do it again next year.
