New Hope for Women (NHFW) has opened a new office at 41 Water Street, Wiscasset.

The Water Street, Wiscasset location is close to the Lincoln County Courthouse and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, and offers easy access to Route 1. Office hours are Thursdays and Fridays, noon to 4 p.m., or by appointment. The Wiscasset office hotline number is 207-882-6222, or callers can use NHFW’s 24-hour toll-free hotline at 1-800-522-3304. NHFW closed its Damariscotta office in June.

In 2013, New Hope for Women served 187 clients in Lincoln County, providing nearly 600 hours of direct service as well as 10 safe home nights. Additionally, over 2,400 people attended community presentations, including 55 presentations to 2,311 students in Lincoln County Schools. Lastly, our certified batterer intervention program assisted 24 residents with over 260 hours of education.

New Hope for Women offers support to people in Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties affected by domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. It also provides important educational resources to assist our communities in creating a safer and healthier future.
