Due to the rainy weather, the Memorial Day parades in Newagen, Southport, Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay and East Boothbay have been cancelled, according to American Legion member Linc Sample.

Legionnaires Dave Patch and Bob Raudenbush will be placing wreaths at the various memorials sometime during the morning hours.

Sample wished to remind people that American flags should be flown at half mast until noon on Memorial Day.
