Meghan Smith of Boothbay, a junior forward on the University of Maine at Farmington women's basketball team, was a second team All-Conference selection, as was announced by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) on Thursday, Feb. 27.

NAC All-Conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.

Smith earned her first career all-conference selection after leading the team in points (258) and rebounding (212). She averaged 10.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season. Smith recorded five double-doubles this season and set new career marks in single-game rebounding. In a home victory over Thomas, Smith grabbed 16 rebounds and then surpassed that mark with 17 rebounds in UMF's NAC quarterfinal game.

The 6-0 defensive presence swatted 16 shots (second on the team), recorded 19 steals (fourth on the team), and dished 37 assists (fourth on the team) and she was only one of two players to start every game this season.

Smith ranked as one of the best rebounders in the conference. Smith finished second in total rebounds (212), second in field goal percentage (47.3 percent) fourth in offensive rebounds (77), fourth in rebounds per game (8.2), and fifth in defensive rebounds (135).

UMaine-Farmington also won the NAC Team Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive season, marking the fourth time UMaine-Farmington has received the distinction. UMF women's basketball previously won the award in 2005-2006 (co-recipients with Wheelock College), 2011-2012, and 2013-2014.

UMaine-Farmington finished the season with an 11-15 overall record, 10-8 in the NAC, and earned the fifth seed for the 2015 NAC Tournament.
