Local author Kay Tobler Liss will sign copies of her second novel, “Coming Home,” at Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Store, 5 Commercial St., Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The story is about four generations of a family who go on journeys to special places in nature from their youth and discover hidden secrets about themselves. Places traveled to include North Carolina, New York and Switzerland. Coming together for a Christmas dinner, they share their transformative journeys with each other, thereby increasing the bonds between them.

In a Publishers Weekly Booklife Review, it was described as a family story with a “strong focus on the beauty of nature and art … readers will find resonant, with engaging, believable characters and a plot that’s drawn from life and stirs real tears.”
