Lincoln County women start a local chapter of ‘100+ Women Who Care’
There’s a new opportunity to give back to community with the recently launched “100+ Women Who Care, Lincoln County, Maine.” Designed to host a community of gender expansive women, the Lincoln County chapter of this global organization helps women gather quarterly, contribute locally, connect personally, and raise awareness of the inspirational work being accomplishedeach and every day by our area’s non-profit organizations.
Participating in the chapter is straightforward and designed to accommodate busy schedules. Interested individuals sign up to become members and agree to donate fiftydollars quarterly. Members gather quarterly at selected venues throughout Lincoln County. At quarterly gatherings, attendees hear from three members as they each nominate anorganization. Members vote. One local non-profit is selected to receive an Impact Donation. Designed to maximize donor impact, one hundred women gifting $50.00 each results in a $5,000 gift Impact Donation to be awarded each meeting. The Lincoln County chapter anticipatessignificantly more than one hundred members and substantially more donation funds allocated.
