When you’re a kid, what’s cooler than a big truck? Six of them! Dozens of kids and parents came to town hall Oct. 11 for the first Touch-a-Truck event in Boothbay Harbor, organized by the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library. There were trucks from service organizations around the region for children explore and staff on hand to teach them about what they do. The library provided hot cocoa to help ease the chill and, of course, a book cart filled with stories about trucks and other automobiles.

Boothbay Harbor Fire Department, Boothbay Harbor Police Department, Boothbay Harbor Public Works, Boothbay Region Ambulance Service and the Chamber of Commerce all participated.
