Knickerbocker nightmare

Mon, 02/27/2017 - 4:00pm

    Dear Editor:

We owned the Knickerbocker Inn from 1965 to 1971. There was a nice stretch of woods all the way to the Gaecklein Road and wildlife all over the place – deer, rabbits, mink.

I could go on and on but it’s too late. The wildlife has been evicted, even the wood ducks down in the pond connected to the lake. These ducks have been there for years but may have to leave when the chainsaws, bulldozers and other machines get done.

I expect to see a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and side shows appear.

I could ramble on but what’s the sense.
