Dear Editor:

I have come to realize the economy that supports our region is based on three industries: fishing, boat building and tourism.

Stephanie Hawke has a strong background in all three. Her husband and son are successful deep water lobstermen.

The family worked together and outfitted their own boats and Stephanie is related to the Hodgdon family of East Boothbay.

Her father developed and operated the Carriage House Restaurant where she worked as a chef and waitress. Her sister manages Robinson’s Wharf while Stephanie owns and operates Hawke Motors.

This is the background that I believe qualifies her to represent the Boothbay region in the State House. Stephanie gets my vote and I hope she gets yours.
