Hall-Dale sweeps Boothbay boys and girls tennis teams

On May 21, Hall-Dale defeated Boothbay’s boys and girls teams in high school tennis. In Boothbay Harbor, the Hall-Dale boys won four of five matches. The lone Boothbay victory was in No. 3 singles with Max Hoecker defeating Eli Spahn, 6-4, 6-4. Hall-Dale won the other two singles matches with No. 1 Mackenzie Creamer defeating Rowan Kristan, 6-0, 6-1, and No. 2 Isaac Lawrence defeating Henry Drapeau, 6-0, 6-1. In doubles, Hall-Dale’s No.

1 team Neil Stotter and Orion Bittues defeated Ryan Russel and Mason Erhard, 6-0, 6-1. In second doubles, Boothbay’s Cody Field and Patrick Conlin won the first set 6-4, before succumbing to Eli Page and Colby Gardner in sets two and three, 6-4, 6-4.

In Farmingdale, Hall-Dale won all five girls’ matches. In first singles, Naomi Lynch defeated Maddie Gaudette, 10-1. In second singles, Maggie Gross defeated Eve Dolloff, 10-1 . In third singles, Georgia Warren defeated Annie Bryer, 10-7. In doubles, No. 1 team Olivia Bourque and Hazel Clark defeated Boothbay’s Isabel Harkins and Kayla Lewis, 10-3. No. 2 team Laura Molesworth and Grace Moulton defeated Madison Faulkingham and Sierra Murray, 10-5.

The Boothbay boys drop to 3-6. The Seahawks are in sixth place in Class C South schoolboy tennis. The Seahawk boys have one remaining match on Wednesday, May 23 against Dirigo. Boothbay concludes its regular season hosting Dirigo.

The Seahawk girls are in seventh place in Class C South Heal point standings. Boothbay finished its regular season 5-5.
