What are some delicious but easy ways to prepare squashes, turnips and cabbage for a small group, or perhaps only one or two persons?

Some answers to this question will be provided at the FARMS Community Kitchen (upstairs over the Rising Tide Market, 323 Main St., Damariscotta) on Friday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. to noon, when FARMS will host the Coastal Senior College and interested members of the public.

During the class session, FARMS Youth Program Director Karen Kleinkopf will prepare some recipes that can be easily duplicated at home.

“These are recipes that I have long had fun making with school kids in the upper grades,” Kleinkopf said.

Samplings of the dishes will be provided.

Class size is limited to 24 persons. Suggested donation: $10. Reserve your space by leaving a message on the FARMS phone at 207-563-1161.
