The YMCA Dolphin swim team competed well in its first home meet against Sanford YMCA on Dec. 3. The Dolphins had 24 returning swimmers and one new swimmer. The team competed very well with 42 best times recorded on the day. The team dropped a total of 190.55 seconds. The top three swimmers were Keana Pitcher dropping 32.25 seconds, Rowan Kristan dropping 25.71 seconds and Alex Hughes dropping 20.47 seconds.

There were 16 first places, 20 second places and seven thirds. The boys won the meet and two qualified for New Englands — Graham Harris and Rowan Kristan in the 50 free.

The Dolphins’ next meet will be against KVY (Kennebec Valley YMCA) in Augusta on Dec. 17.
