Lincoln County Democrats will host an Italian Night pasta and meatball supper and fundraiser on Saturday evening, Feb. 20, from 5 to 7:30 at American Legion Post 36, 25 Industrial Park Drive (just off Routh 27) in Boothbay. Ellie Paoletti Taylor and Sandra Rumery will flex their Italian culinary muscles and prepare a delicious “al dente” meal.

The supper gives local Democrats a great opportunity to get together, share good times, and help to support Democratic headquarters and campaign activities this fall. Guest speakers will include Senator Chris Johnson and Representative Mick Devin, who will give updates on bringing Project HOPE to Lincoln County, advancements in ocean acidification, and recent activities in the legislature.

There will be a lots to talk about, including Maine’s upcoming caucuses on March 6, and of course, everyone can try their luck with the 50-50 raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door and the winner gets 50 percent of the proceeds.

In addition to Ellie’s and Sandra’s delicious pasta and meatballs, the menu includes a sumptuous salad, fresh Borealis Bakery bread, homemade desserts, including sinful chocolate treats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be available.

Everyone is invited, and the price is right — Adults $12; children 5 to 12 $6, under 5 free; and a family of four, $30. Anyone considering becoming a “host” for the dinner can do so for $50 or be a “True Blue host” for $100. One dinner is included with host sponsorship, two dinners for True Blue.

Tickets will be available at the door, but buying your tickets in advance helps us to plan better. Make checks payable to “Lincoln County Democratic Committee” and send to Sandie O’Farrell, P.O. Box 336, Waldoboro, ME 04572, or pay online at https://secure.actblue.com/page/supper16.
