Bury the power lines

Tue, 12/13/2016 - 7:00am

    Dear Editor:

In the midst of all our upcoming changes — the roundabout, the between-the-towns sidewalks, the Route 27 corridor — I suggest that utility lines be buried from at least Adams Pond Road to Hannaford, including all of the Common.

Three good reasons: 1) Aesthetically, poles are ugly; 2) When we hit them in our cars, we can die; and 3) Underground conduits don’t fall down in ice storms.
