Boothbay Region High School will hold one of its earliest graduation ceremonies in recent years on Friday, May 29 at 2 p.m., prompting adjustments being made to the traditional schedule leading up to the big day for the class of 2015.

The Alumni Dinner will be held Sunday, May 17 at Boothbay Region Elementary School. Tickets for the event have already been sold and guest speaker will be Alan Lewis of East Boothbay.

The last class day for seniors will be Wednesday, May 20 and the next day, the class will begin practices for the Grand March, followed by practices for graduation.

The annual visit to the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club by the class will be held Thursday, May 21 at 6:15 p.m.

The Baccalaureate program, sponsored by local clergy, will be held Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor.

The Masonic cookout for the class in East Boothbay will be held Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 27 is another busy day. After a morning marching practice from 8 to 9:30, students and parents are invited to help blow up balloons to decorate the gym. Because of a conflict with a conference track meet, the annual Awards and Honors Exercise, which is usually held on Thursday before graduation, will be held Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Teachers will hand out their awards to BRHS students on Thursday, May 28 at 8 a.m.

On May 29, Class Day festivities will be held in the gym from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Graduation is at 2 p.m. and the Grand March and Alumni Ball begins at 8 p.m.

The Grand March and Alumni Ball is sponsored by the Alumni Association. Parents or representatives in the “Parade of Parents” are guests of the Alumni Association, and will be admitted free of charge. At 7:45 p.m., parents will line up in preparation for the “Parade of Parents” into the gymnasium. Admission for the Graduation Ball is $5 per person, cash only. Tickets are not sold in advance, nor reserved seating available. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The BRHS class of 2015 will depart for the Project Graduation class trip at around 10 p.m.
