    Dear Editor:

Boothbay Region Community Television would like to thank all those who attended the “Catch ’N‘ Cook” premier party at Mine Oyster last week. The event raised $3,152 for BRCTV, making it a successful fundraiser for the community’s local access channel.

The event drew more than 100 people to the launch of the first episode of “Catch ’N‘ Cook,” a new cooking show starring local Chef Stephen Richards, Maine’s Lobster Chef of the Year. The first episode will broadcast on Channel 7 at 11 a.m. on July 29 and will also be available to view online on BRCTV’s video blog at www.brctv.org.

Additionally, BRCTV extends a big thank you to Ralph and Elena Smith for hosting the event at Mine Oyster restaurant, and for their continuous generosity and support within the community.

BRCTV would also like to thank the following businesses and contributors for sponsoring and helping out with the event: Mine Oyster, Chef Stephen Richards, ONE Event Productions, Monica Wendell Designs, Angie Helton, Wannawaf, A Silver Lining, the Rittall Family, Doug Gimbel, and Endless Interstate for providing the event’s entertainment.

BRCTV intends to continue its “Catch ’N’ Cook” series with three more episodes set to premier later this year. BRCTV is a local 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that produces and broadcasts all its own material made exclusively in the Boothbay region.
