BRCTV announces date for film festival

Wed, 07/20/2016 - 3:15pm

The first ever BRCTV Film Festival will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the evening of September 8 at the Harbor Theatre. The event will feature the premiere of the Ryan Leighton film, "Walking Home." Attendees will also enjoy local foods and beverages, amidst an unexpected setting.

The only event of its kind in our region, the BRCTV Film Festival promises to deliver an evening of locally produced, world class talent. The premiere of "Walking Home" will take you on a wild adventure produced by BRCTV's Leighton. In 2015, Steve and Karl Berger embarked on a journey along the Appalachian Trail. As father and son, they hiked from Georgia to Maine, learning as much about the trail's unique culture as they did about themselves. "Walking Home" is not just a story about father and son, but a story about community and finding freedom and love in five million steps.'

Tickets are $75 per person and 100 percent of event proceeds benefit the continued growth of Boothbay Region Community Television. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Tickets are on sale now at BoothbayHarborFest.com. For more information, please contact Lori Reynolds at 207-671-7676.
