Boothbay Region Senior Citizens Club: New members welcome

Fri, 04/18/2014 - 11:30am

The next meeting of the Boothbay Region Seniors Citizens Club will be on Wednesday, April 23, our Easter Luncheon, at 11:30 a.m. at the Boothbay Fire Station on the Wiscasset Road. Wear your Easter bonnets if you want to.

We are still looking for a secretary and an auditor. If you would be interested in serving on our Board, please contact President Mary Hull (207-633-4189) or Treasurer Debbie Mullen (207-633-7874).

Don't forget to make your Easter luncheon reservations: If you missed our last meeting or if you would like to join the BRSCC, please call our President Mary Hull at 207-633-4189 by April 20. Mr. C's will be serving our Easter Ham luncheon and we have to let him know how many meals to prepare.

Following our luncheon we are pleased to have David Brown from Spectrum Generations. He will speak to us on his program, Bridges Home Care and Adult Daybreak. These programs will show how we can stay independent in our own homes. As we age, certain things get more difficult to do. His Stay at Home Program will help fill those gaps. Join us and see how David can help you stay in your home.

At our meeting on April 9, Boothbay Fire Chief Dick Spofford spoke about fire prevention.

We'd love to have new members, so anyone 50 years old or older may join. The cost is $2 per year, plus $5 each time you attend the luncheon.
