The Boothbay Festival of Lights Photo Bomb Challenge

Fri, 11/18/2016 - 10:00am

    Let’s make it viral!

We’re starting the ball rolling on getting the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce’s new idea of promoting the Boothbay Festival of Lights.

Some of the Register staff volunteered to “stick their necks out” and get photographed in the Chamber’s decorative BFOL Photo Bomb board outside the Chamber’s office on Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor. The Chamber wants us to challenge an area group to do the same — step up to the board, take a photo (remember your camera or phone) of your group and post it on your website, your Facebook page, Twitter ... wherever ... and challenge another group to do the same.

If you want to send the photo to the newspaper, we will feature it on our website, Facebook page, and perhaps in the newspaper (we expect to receive many so getting them all in the newspaper will be a problem). Send your photo and group name to news@boothbayregister.com

Who are we challenging? We have decided to challenge the Boothbay Harbor Police Department and the Boothbay Region YMCA. We decided to do two because we want this community building project to move fast!

Have fun and send those photos!
