Dear Editor:

We would like to thank our family, friends and donors (some of you are anonymous) for your prayers, support and donations in helping Chanel (Stoddard) with her fight against cancer.

Thank you Harry and Anita for her weekly goodies; Brandi for coming to the house when needed; Allison, Leslie, Amy, Justin, Vicki, Mike and members of the Methodist Church — you are just a few of the wonderful people who have been such a great support system.

Through this battle, Chanel has spent 18 nights at Maine Medical Center, undergone four surgeries, way too many shots, blood transfusions, taken over 1,500 pills, traveled 8,800 miles for chemotherapy treatments, the list goes on; but she is still smiling, thanks to you all. Radiation treatments start in five to six weeks, then more tests. We are praying for good news.

Cancer has opened our eyes and we now know what a family truly goes through. In times like this, we are so lucky to live in a community full of love and support. We will continue to pray for Chanel and others who are battling this tough disease.
