Applauds Coulombe’s vision
Dear Editor:
I want to thank Paul Coulombe for his support of the Boothbay region and for putting his money where his mouth is.
I was first introduced to the region in 1950 and it was love a first sight. I was a newly married young man then, fresh out of World War II as a Naval aviator.
I was a golf enthusiast and played our local course a few times. It was nine holes then and I remember playing the fifth hole, trying to keep my feet dry because the fairway was so spongy, even after a dry spell. That has changed over the years, as has the entire region — mostly for the better.
I believe that change is going to happen and our mission is to keep the change going in a positive direction. Paul Coulombe is certainly doing that.
