Two Salty Dogs gathers $1,200 in donations for War Dogs

For the past month, Two Salty Dogs has been gathering donations to send overseas to dogs serving in the United States military through the The United States War Dog Association, Inc. (www.uswardogs.org/k9-care).
“It's really important to remember that some of those serving our country overseas are four-legged, and deserve recognition and love, too,” owner Don Kingsbury said.
Many people stopped in to donate, either giving money and telling the Kingsburys to pick out whatever was most needed, or donating specific items. In total, $1,200 worth of merchandise was donated and was sent to different canine military units on Friday, Nov. 13.
“So many people helped, and some multiple times,” Kingsbury said. “Like Valerie Young – she was in like every other day and probably donated about $100 worth of stuff on her own.”
Kingsbury thanked all those who donated and helped with the project.
