Indivisible Boothbay to discuss environment Feb. 27
How is our environment in Midcoast Maine responding to increased warming? What are the effects on plants, animals and birds, and how are they adjusting to these effects?
As residents of the Boothbay peninsula, we are attuned to our environment and aware of its contribution to our quality of life. Is our government at the state and national level informing us about changes to the environment and seeking viable solutions?
For a discussion of these questions, the public is invited to attend the monthly meeting of Indivisible Boothbay on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club, 66 Montgomery Rd., Boothbay Harbor. The speaker will be Dr. Jeff Wells, science and policy director for the Boreal Songbird Initiative and author of numerous publications about birds, the environment and conservation.
